Sprinkler, Sunshine , Shorts and a pussycat were found abandoned in a vacant apartment as their family was evicted. Both Sprinkler and Sunshine have been beautifully cared for . I called them polished pitbulls as despite a buoyant personality, they have the heart and soul of two wonderful and loving pets. Sprinkler is a diamond in the rough, a gem that you will discover only if you spend a little bit of time with her. She is young and boisterous and appeared quite anxious in the begining of her stay here at the care center. It is tough to end up alone in the middle of a crowd of unknown dogs and people when she had three housemates, a home and masters who very obviously loved her. She is a beauty, dressed in a perfect and elegant latte brindle coat. Her weight and her health are excellent. Over days, Sprinkle grew and grew more and more in me even that she still whines at times, jumps a lot for a ball or a treat and pulls on the leash. She will sit on command after a firm prompt. She looks so proud of her achievement , then. I know she is trying hard to fall back on her four and blend into her new life that hopefully will only be temporary. Sprinkler loves to run after and catch a ball that she never guards. She is not mouthy, does not get “crazy” when we play, respects the leash when we walk, seems to be housetrained and wants to meet other dogs. Sprinkler knows how to show her affection and comes on the bench for hugs and kisses. She is a very sweet girl.. Sprinkler has won my heart but it took a few days….I know, it will last for ever because feelings and thinking led me to make that statement. Sprinkler is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be once again, the life of a home sweet home..
