Medical Behavior Evaluation BLUE
Medical Summary History Pt was in a fight with another dog last night over food – surrendered to shelter. Energetic, walks around, whines. Doesn’t mind handling but difficult to restrain due to size. BCS 8/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: Eyes clear, no nasal discharge noted. Clean teeth. Some erythema around the base of the left ear. Puncture wound visible on the dorsal skull – mild bloody discharge. PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: Did not auscult. Eupnic. ABD: Did not palpate U/G: Male neutered MSI: Ambulatory x 4. Large thick mass or swelling taking up half of the rostral thorax (“brisket area”) with one central puncture wound and moderate bloody discharge. No pain on palpation of this region. Skin free of parasites, no masses noted. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: 1. Multiple puncture wounds consistent with bite wounds 2. Obese Prognosis: Good Plan: Sedate later today for wound clip, clean and explore 1088
