A volunteer writes:  Without meaning to, I saved the softest, sweetest dog for last, and he was my perfect denouement to a long day.  Easy to leash, easy to walk, shyly snuggly, his tail wags as we walk, he looks up waiting for his ‘good boy’ after going potty, and his little snuggles and kisses are sublime.   His white coat is lush and clean, his little imp face looks softly up at me, his eyes gentle and full of wonder.  As we sat in the park for some pictures and cuddles, Spottie loved watching the birds and squirrels, wagged his tail at a family walking by, and loved watching some kids play ball.  He comes when called, takes  treats gently and when not to his liking equally gently spits them out.   He lay his head on my knee for some petting, and when curiousity got the better of him jumped down from where we were sitting to see what else was new and exciting.   Spry, gentle, adorable, compact Spottie is the perfect soft end to my day.   Coming home to this little dude must be amazing……and while it can’t be me, it could be you.   Don’t pass up the chance to meet him when you visit.
