Spot reminds me of Felix the cat… He came to us with housemate Sally as their  ailing owner had too many pets… A relative  who brought  him to the care center had nothing much to say about him except that “He is easy to handle and does not like cats..” I think i would have lots to say about Spot. At first, he is gorgeous in his impeccable tuxedo and his left blue eye made my heart sink. He is one friendly , welcoming and playful pooch who would do well with an active family. Spot pulls on the leash but is manageable even by me…He sits beautifully on command, treats or no treats. He is very much house trained , not even marking his territory.  He pulls toward other dogs showing his excitement and desire to meet. Indeed, he is great in playgroups with his peers, males and females, a bit boisterous but having so much fun… Although already neutered Spot has a eye for the ladies…Even when an older female entered the yard and neared our pen, Spot went into a real Peacock  display… Silly boy !Spot is affectionate too and will come on the bench for hugs and kisses.  He will rollin how back for belly rubs…He loves to play ball, jumps high , runs for it, catches it and rolls it between his forelegs.He does  not mind me taking the ball out of his mouth.  Yep, Spot is an eye catching young chap, very likable, enthusiastic, strong and quite friendly who is waiting at the Manhattan Care Center to meet you and hopefully to leave us  as your forever best friend.
PLAYGROUP:

When off leash wtih other dogs Spot is playful with males and females. He does a lot of spins and bows toward the other dogs in attempts to solicit play. He will jump on the other dogs as well until he is offered correction.

2/12 update:

Spot engages in rough, running play with a group of females, mouthing their back during play.

2/13 update:

Spot offers paw slaps and jumps over the other dogs to solicit as well as

Does not like cats per owner.
