Medical Behavior Evaluation BLUE
Medical Summary 05/11/16 15:45 Scan : negative Sex: Female Approx 5-7yr S/O: QAR, tense body, tail tucked. Eyes WNL. Teeth, mild gingivitis and tartar on premolars and molars. Extensive multifocal bite wounds on cranial half of body. Most severe multiple puncture wounds on ventral neck chest, and right aspect of neck and face. Marked SQ pocketing communicating between puncture wounds from right lateral aspect of neck to ventral midline. Other puncture wounds ventral to AD and one inside base of ext ear canal, the one ventral to the ear has a SQ pocket approx 5cm. AD has significant amount of dried blood on pinna and present in ext canal. Other puncture wounds present on left side of face and neck, superficial tissue penetration only. Dried blood present on coat, and fore limbs. NOSF A: Bite wounds, presumptive dog bite wounds. P: Clipped hair, cleaned wounds w/ dilute chlorhexidine, flushed SQ pocketing. Cleaned ears. Will start clavamox and rimadyl. Ventral neck wound requires drain placement and possible surgical exploration under anesthesia. Recommend transfer to private veterinary facility for treatment of wounds. PROGNOSIS: GOOD w/ timely appropriate treatment of wounds.
