02/20/15 16:19 NAME: Sparkle REASON FOR SURRENDER Taking proper care of Sparkle was too much responsibilty at the time. RELATIONSHIP Sparkle is around 7 months and has had Sparkle for 2 weeks. PEOPLE Sparkle is very soft and gentle with people of all ages. She is very attention seeking. OTHER ANIMALS The owner has not had her around other dogs, but notes that she will whimper and try to get to the dog when she passes one. She is very respectful of cats and will usualyl not bother them. PERSONALITY/HABITS Sparkle is an inside dog with a very high activity level. She likes to go jogging and will follow the owner around the home. She likes to play with stuffed toys. TRAINING Sparkle has no formal training. MEDICAL There are no medical issues at this time. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Very wiggly and loose. Sparkle was attention seeking and allowed all handling.

Sparkle was reported to be very soft and gentle with people of all ages and can be very attention seeking. Sparkle has not been around other dogs, but the owner stated that she will whimper and try to get to the dog when she passes one. She is very respectful of cats and will usually not bother them. Sparkle was said to have a very high activity level, and has not had any formal training. During intake Sparkle was reported to have loose and wiggly body language, and was very attention seeking. Sparkle was very sociable towards the assessor, but was often distracted and more interested in her surroundings. She allowed the assessor to conduct each handling item without issue, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl during the food test. She was easy to handle when chewing on the toys and rawhide items, and when playing off leash with other dogs, Sparkle was very sociable with both males and females and had high energy when engaging in play with all dogs. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, her tail is down, body a bit tense, mouth closed, lip long, ears back, lip licks. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are back. Food: 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away or push her out. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Rawhide: 2. Dog takes rawhide away, keeps a firm hold. Her body is between you and the rawhide, and she is loose and wiggly. No growling or stiffness. Dog-dog: off leash with other dogs, Sparkle was very sociable with both males and females and had high energy when engaging in play with all dogs.

When off leash with other dogs, Sparkle is full of energy and soft and wiggly. She play bows often, displays puppy-like behavior and plays with both males and females.
