A volunteer writes: Sophie has got to be the #1 favorite dog at the Brooklyn ACC right now–I can’t take her anywhere without multiple staff, volunteers, and strangers on the street stopping to say how beautiful and sweet she is! Although she’s a tiny bit timid at first (she doesn’t love loud noises), Sophie thrives on human attention and is a glutton for affection. A few scratches behind the ears (some treats and baby talk don’t hurt either) and this girl’s heart is yours! Sophie is gentle, calm, and slow-moving, although she does occasionally pull if she sees one of her favorite staff people and wants to follow them. Sophie seems to be housetrained and doesn’t seem bothered by dogs when we pass them on the street. She loves naps (in fact, she takes one every time I bring her back in from a walk) and has the most adorable little doggie snore. Come and see this popular lady at the Brooklyn ACC today!
For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues. If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process. * We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.* For more info on behavior codes and ratings, please click here: http://information.urgentpodr.org/acc-placement-status-descriptions.
