2/22: Sophie is not eating dog food. Vet tech1086 reports she will eat baby food and minced Vienna sausages when offered. Vet 1172 confirmed one meal daily for three days from medical.
Profile
Basic Information:
Sophie is a white and black female fifteen year old jack russell terrier. He was surrendered by her owner due to personal problems. She is described as friendly, affectionate and mellow. She was with her owner for almost fifteen years.
Socialization:
Sophie has lived with three adults and one older child. Around strangers Sophie is described as friendly and outgoing, she will engage in gentle play. Around children he is described as playful and will engage in gentle play. She lived with another small breed dog and is described as relaxed and affectionate, owner stated they will engage in gentle play. Sophie has not been around cats.
Behavior:
Sophie is not bothered when her food is touched while eating. Sophie likes bathing and is not bothered when her paws are touched. When a stranger approaches the home she will greet them with a loose body and wagging tail. She enjoys being brushed.
For a new family to know:
Sophie is housetrained and is used to leashed walks twice a day. Owner stated due to her age she has been urinating more frequently in the home. Her activity level is described as low, owner stated she likes to sleep and lounge around the home. When home she tends to stay in a favorite spot and has been kept only indoors. She eats wet and dry food Beneful brand and is free fed. Her favorite treat is bacon strips.
Upon intake Sophie was calm and had a loose body, she allowed all handling. Counselor was able to collar, scan (negative) and photograph.
