I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 01/30/2016 from NY 11221, owner surrender reason stated was NO TIME.

01/30/16 10:25 Basic Information: Sophie is a 10 year old pug/ Jack russell terrier mix. Socialization: Around strangers Sophie is shy for a few minutes but then warms up to them. Sophie plays gently with adults and has been around children of all ages including newborns. Around children Sophie is relaxed, playful and gentle. Sophie has never been around any other dogs and tends to chase after cats growling at them.Sophie has never bitten another person or animal. Behavior: Sophie has no behavior issues and isn’t bothered by storms or fireworks. Sophie’s previous owner did not attempt to touch her food or bowl while she was eating, take a treat or bone away, or take an object away from her o it is unknown how she will react to these events. Sophie is riendly if someone pushes her off of the furnitture, gives her a bath, brushes her coat, holds her or disturbs her while she is sleeping. If an unfamiliar person approaches her family or home Sophie will bark . For a New Family to Know: Sophie is described as: friendy, affectionate, playful, confident, pushy, excitable, and independant with a medium activity level. Sophie’s favorite activity is plaing with children. When at home Sophie likes to be in the same room as her owner. Sophie likes to play with squeaky toys and stuffed toys. Sophie was kept indoors but enjoys going outside in the summer time. Sophie eats 1 cup of dry food 3 times a day form the brand beniful or do chow. Sophie’s favorite treats are begin strips, puperoni and turkey. Sophie is mostly huse traiend and rarey has any accidents. Sophie has been crate trained and deos well for 6 to 7 ours. For excercise Sophie was for a walk twice a day for 5 to 20 minutes. When off leash Sophie will stay close by your side but in the park she will wander some but will come when called. Intake Behavior: Sophie allowed staff to collar, scan for a micorchip and take pictures with no signs of agression. Sophie allowed staff to pick her up and pet her.
