01/28/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sophia pulls a bit on the leash. She was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body, low wag. Sophia was calm and relaxed during handling. She was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. Sophia was not interested in toys. Sophia did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful but unresponsive when touched. Approaches the Assessor when the game ends. Dog is likely crouching, may have long lip or lip lick. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Toy 1: No interest. playgroup Notes: When off leash with other dogs, Sophia greets and engages in soft play with the male greeter.
01/26/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Sophia engages in soft play, often running through the yard alongside other dogs rather than soliciting them to chase her. She was found tied up with a male dog–these two interact well in the care center, but because she is a stray and in-home behaviors are unknown. Based on this information the behavior department feels that Sophia could go to a home with another female or male dog that also is playful, but softer and not exuberant. When off leash with other dogs, Sophia greets and engages in soft play with the male greeter. 1/27 update: Sophia briefly greets before jumping onto the handler and going to the door, seeking exit. 1/28 update: Sophia engages in bouncy running play with males and females, soliciting the dogs to run along side her. She eventually stops soliciting and begins to whine and seek exit.
