A volunteer writes:   Look at those eyes!!  One blue, one brown they peer up from her kennel wondering if she’ll be chosen next for a walk.   Yup, I mean, how could you not?   Solange is a chunky mama, stepping down carefully from her kennel and slow and easy on leash.   Going potty as soon as we were out the door says she’s likely housetrained, and we then meander down the street.  When we stop for some pictures Solange is a willing model, snuggles close and gives kisses, then enjoys some treats which she takes gently.  It’s pretty clear she enjoys food!  She even learned quickly where I keep them so tried a sneak attack to get more.  So cute!!  Wagging her tail at a little dog passing by, Solange is all about cuddles, content to hang out with me. Solange has opinions, and when we took a path she wasn’t thrilled with she stopped to let me know she’d prefer to zig rather than zag.  Love a girl who knows what she wants!  Back in the building she plopped down on the cool floor semi froggy style, enjoying some attention from staff before going back into her kennel.   She needs to lose some weight, but is the perfect companion for someone looking for a buddy with whom to snuggle up watching TV, reading a good book and enjoying life from the couch.  Solange means “angel of the sun” and she’s an angel for sure!
