08/22/16 16:07 Police were able to bring animal into the car on the leash without any problems. They stated that Soho was sweet and allowed handling. Behavior during intake: Soho approached me during intake right away with a soft and wiggyly body. She started jumping on me to say hello. I was able to scan for a mc, collar and take a picture without any issues. When a staff member entered the room, Soho was wiggly and solicing attention by giving kisses and pressing her body against staff members legs.

Hazel came into our center on 8/22/2016. She was friendly upon intake and allowed all handling. Hazel pulled on leash for her relief walk, was friendly upon entering SAFER assessment area. She shoulder rubbed during positioning for Look item, jumped up to lick assessor’s face. Hazel followed at the end of the leash for Tag game, body soft, settled easily at end of game. She shoulder rubbed during positioning for Squeeze item. Once properly positioned, Hazel did not pull her paw back on both Squeeze attempts. She took Toy away, body loose. Hazel approached the helper dog at an appropriate pace, tail at spine level, relaxed. The Behavior Team feels Hazel would do well with an Average adopter. Look: 1. Dog jumps up to lick the Assessor’s face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft, settles easily at end Squeeze 1 / 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed Toy 2. Dog takes toy away, body loose Dog – dog 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed, and lip neutral
