A Volunteer writes: “Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?” If shelters had magic mirrors, there’s no doubt that our beloved Snow White would be crowned a thousand times more beautiful. Having joined us after being found alone in a building, Snow White has captured our hearts in no time. Perhaps it’s because her body tells the story of a not-so-glamourous life…with scars and scabs lining her legs and ears cropped too short. I want to promise her that everything will be OK. Or maybe, it’s the way she gazes into your eyes while pressing her body close to you…making you feel like the most important person in the world. Either way, Snow White is darling. Always quiet in her kennel, she is easily leashed, walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and when she spots a staff member or volunteer who wants to say hello, her tail goes wild with wiggles and wags. Just like the fictional Disney character of which her name was derived, Snow White is innocent, kind, gentle, and sweet and she’s looking for a family who will treat her like the princess she is. Will that be you?
Another volunteer writes “To say Snow White is perfection would be an understatement! As I approached her kennel she was sitting like a lady, slowly wagging her tail. The rhythm picked up as I started talking to her. She was obviously eager for company. She did her business as soon as we got outside and then proceeded to walk right by my side the whole time. She gladly received scratches from the girl at the coffee place. She’s a happy-go-lucky lady with a lot of class! I could have walked for hours!”
SAFER
Snow white walks calmly on leash. She was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body, low wag. Snow white was calm and relaxed during handling. She had a low body position during the tag test, but followed the assessor at the end of the leash. Snow white was not interested in toys.
Snow white did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home.
Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds.

PLAY GROUP
When off leash with other dogs, Snow White is uncomfortable and avoids greeting. She seeks handler attention.
