PEOFILE :
Basic info:
Snoopy is a 9 year male old Shar Pei-Pug mix who was surrendered by his owner due to personal problems. Snoopy was a gift and the owner has had him since he was a puppy. Snoopy has no known medical issues.
Socialization:
Owner states that when around strangers Snoopy is friendly and outgoing. He has spent time around children ages 3-8 yrs. old and he is relaxed and playful when around them. When playing with children and adults Snoopy is gentle. Snoopy has spent time around other dogs which are his son and the mother and he is relaxed and playful when around them. When playing with other dogs, Snoopy is gentle. Snoopy has not spent time around cats so it is unknown how he will react.
Behavior:
When left alone in the house or the yard Snoopy is well behaved. During fireworks and loud noises he isn’t bothered. When someone touches his toys, food or treats he isn’t bothered. He also isn’t bothered if he is restrained pushed off the couch or disturbed while he is sleeping. He enjoys getting brushed and bathed. He has never had his nails trimmed so it is unknown how he will react. When someone unfamiliar approaches his house or yard he will bark for a few seconds.
For a new family to know:
Owner described Snoopy as friendly affectionate and playful with a high energy level. When at home Snoopy follows his owner around. He likes chewy bones and balls, but is scared of squeaky toys. He likes to play fetch but does not bring the ball back. He has been kept mostly indoors and eats wet food. Skippy is very much house trained and goes to the bathroom outside in the grass or cement. He has never been crated. He knows the sit, come, and down command. Snoopy is used to brisk walks on the leash for exercise. When on the leash he pulls lightly.
PLAYGROUP”
Snoopy’s previous guardian reported that he lived with two other dogs and was playful around them.
5/8: When off leash at the Care Center, Snoopy mostly avoids the other small male and female dogs but occasionally exchanges a brief greet.
