11/02/16 12:44 Basic Information Skylar is a female American Pit Bull Terrier puppy who was surrendered due to personal reasons. Socialization: Around strangers Skylar is friendly, outgoing and plays exuberantly with sdults and children. Skylar has spent time with children from infants and up around them Skylar is relaxed and playful. Behavior: Skylar has never bitten another person or animal. Skylar is not bothered by loud sounds. Skylar is friendly when someone touches her food or bowl when she is eating, takes a treat/toy away, pushes/pulls her off of the furniture, holds/retrains her, disturbs her while she is resting/sleeping, gives her a bath, and brushes her. Skylar’s previous owner did not attempt to trim her nails so it is unknown how she will react to those events. If an unfamiliar person approaches her family or home Skylar is friendly toward them. For a new Family to Know: Skylar is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, and excitable with a very high activity level. When at home Skylar will follow around her owner and likes to play with balls, stuffed toys and squeaky toys. Skylar has been kept indoors only and eats both wet and dry food. Skylar is not house trained and has accidents daily. Skylar has never been crate trained and knows the commands sit, come and stay. Skylar pulls very hard on a leash and has not been walked off leash. Intake Behavior: Skylar allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression. Skylar had a loose body and a wagging tail and enjoyed being carried and pet by staff.

BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
No Behavior Summary
11/04/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Skylar’s previous owner did not provide any information on Skylar’s behavior towards other dogs. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Skylar engages in high energy, puppy play with male and female dogs as well as other puppies. She continually solicits play and persists after an adult dog offers correction for her pushy play. The Behavior Department recommends that Skylar be placed in a home with dogs that are tolerant and match her high energy play style. Her future owners are responsible for continuing her socialization with other dogs. 11/4-11/6: Skylar engages in high energy, puppy play with male and female dogs as well as other puppies. She continually solicits play and persists after an adult dog offers correction for her pushy play. 11/7: Skylar played roughly with a younger puppy today. She did not take any breaks other than to “stand over” the other puppy. She body slammed and was very mouthy throughout the session but did respond to handler’s attempts to slow her down. 11/8: Skylar continues to engage in high energy, mouthy play in a group of playful dogs.
