A volunteer writes:
Skye is so gorgeous she almost glows and everywhere she bounds (Skye never simply walks!) admiring looks and comments are sure to follow. She’s ‘like a beautiful painting’ and ‘one good-looking Husky’, adored by all but not a dog for just any adopter. As a Husky her energy levels are very high and Skye’s special brand of puppyish enthusiasm, especially in play, could easily overwhelm a small child or anyone not looking for a workout at the other end of the leash but her heart is a happy one and her intentions never anything but friendly. She LOVES to play with toys, especially a good game of tug, and appreciates treats and petting too, though she’s not what you’d call a snuggler. On leash it’s no surprise to find Skye pulls like a sled dog but we stop for ‘business’, to enjoy some snacks and to meet other pups with cheerful enthusiasm and it seems she never met a dog or person she didn’t immediately want to make into a friend. For an experienced family who can provide the training she needs, the exercise she craves and as much love and attention as she herself has to offer, stunning Skye is a real catch. Come in to our Manhattan Care Center and meet the blue-eyed girl you never knew your life was missing!
