A volunteer writes:

Skye…My kind of girl…Warm brindle coat, mixing butterscotch and chocolate,  solidly built without being overweight and offering  a gentle and loving personality while being lively and playful with people and dogs alike. Yes, Skye embodies just all those qualities making her a wonderful candidate for a successful adoption. Skye was found by a good samaritan who kept her overnight. She played nicely with her many children and her pet Boxer. Here at the care center, Skye has been very playful in playgroups with her peers, a bouncy gal seeking the company of her kind. At first shy,  Skye warms up very fast to her caretaker. She is quick to settle  on a bench next to or behind me for “in deep” hugs and kisses. She loves to be scratched. She likes treats and is quite polite taking them from my hand. She feels so homey , so comfortable to be around and someone will be so lucky to have her as a forever best friend, a companion for fun and cuddle…Skye walks beautifully on the leash and does her business on the way.  She salutes other dogs and is fine with anyone coming to say hello.  I have only great things to say about Skye. I know she will make an awesome pet, a friend for life ,  one  that can always be counted  on. Skye is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be yours..
Another volunteer writes:

Who’s a beautiful brindle girl with a wiggly body and a sweet soul? That would be Skye! Skye is a 2 year old girl who was found in a park before being brought into shelter. She is a sweet, sweet gal with the softest fur and most likely the wiggliest body–she walks with a little wiggle that is too darn adorable for words to describe. You’ll just have to come see her for yourself! Skye walks wonderfully on a leash, and we had a great time exploring the park. Even though it was a rainy night, Skye was beyond happy to just sniff everything in sight. Once we were back inside and dried off, Skye settled down for a nap–lying like a furry princess on her fuzzy pink blanket. No doubt she was dreaming of her forever home! Come on down and check out this great girl!
