01/13/17 13:30 Skkye is approximately 2 years old, she was brought as a stray. Upon intake Skyye was very calm and relaxed and, her body was loose, eyes soft, and she greet everyone when came in. While in the office she very calm and quiet, she allowed the counselor to take a picture and obeyed command to sit to be collared.
01/21/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: This petite girl won my heart by instantly getting the hang of Sit, with just a gentle word and no treats! (Her cute little eye patch and wiggly gait didn’t hurt either.) For such a young dog, Sky seems to have been tutored by Miss Manners herself: She seems housebroken, doesn’t pull on the leash, takes treats gently, looks back often to reassure me we’re still a team, and is so calm that I take her exploring around the less familiar blocks of the neighborhood, though we’ve barely just met. Sky passes birds, other dogs, strangers and stray cats without drama, and only slightly flinches at loud trucks. In play group with her peers, she is said to be a bit skittish, though she lived with another dog (and a toddler), and they got along well. Sky was quite timid when she first got here as her owner was moving, but she is quickly coming out of her shell and would make someone a fine friend and companion. Could that someone be you? Come to Brooklyn ACC soon to find out!

01/14/2017 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Sky was surrendered as a stray so her past behavior around dogs is unknown. 1/14: When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Sky is nervous when greeting a novel male dog. She displays a low body and a tail tucked up to her stomach while lip licking. When the other dog calmly approaches to greet her, she low growls. Once he walks away, she relaxes a bit and untucks her tail. She keeps to herself as she explores the pen for the remainder of the session. 1/18: Initially when interacting with a male dog, Sky is nervous. She becomes stiff, tucks her tail and air snaps when the male dog approaches her. As the session continues, Sky relaxes and is able to solicit and engage in high energy play. She is tolerant of a mouthy play style and continues to play. 1/19: Sky initially displays nervous body language but quickly relaxes and is able to engage in and solicit play with a female dog. When another playful dog is introduced to the group, Sky becomes overwhelmed and begins to display conflicting body language, soliciting play while also offering correction. 1/20: When one on one with a playful female dog, Sky solicits and engages in high energy play.
