DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT:
SummaryPLAYGROUP:
4/27: When introduced off leash to the male greeter dog, Sheboyah is a bit cautious and avoids approach. She follows human handlers in the pen and seeks out their attention.4/30: Sheboyah briefly greets polite dogs with a softer body, then mostly seeks handler attention.5/1: Sheboyah approaches and greets all dogs. She is a bit tense when greeting an older, calmer male, and follows him for a bit before disengaging herself.5/2: Sheboyah displays a bit of a tense body and high flagging tail when greeted. When solicited with play by the other dog, she reciprocates with a few brief hops and toe taps.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
During her initial medical exam Sheboyah allowed handling.
ENERGY LEVEL:
We have no history on Sheboyah so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep her engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct her energy and enthusiasm.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)
