Medical Summary Sex: Female, no spay scar palpated Scan: Negative Estimated age: Reported to be 6 years old Fleas: No flea dirt. S: Sweet, quiet, soft body, allows all handling O: BAR-H, BCS 5/9, MMs pink and moist, CRT <2 sec EENT: Erythematous and lichenified pinnae AU, mild ear canal stenosis AS. No visible discharge on external exam AU. No discharge OU, nose. Moderate tartar and gingivitis. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. No lesions noted. Dirt in fur (not flea dirt) esp. on feet. UG: Female, no spay scar palpated A: 1. Dental disease 2. Otitis externa Short-term prognosis: Excellent P: 1. Gave 1.6 ml pyrantel and Activyl 14-22 # during exam 2. Ear cleanings q3 days and Otibiotic BID x7-10 days, recheck ears in 7-10 days 3. Long-term veterinary care should focus on proper dental hygiene (including a dental cleaning and rads), as well as ear health 1088
