08/14/17 15:05 Basic information: Shaggy is a tan small dog with wavy fur, estimated to be about 12 years old. He was found as a stray on 8/3/17. His finder took him home with intentions of keeping him but thought he was unhealthy an decided to surrender him. Shaggy has not been to the vet but is said to have breathing issues. Socialization: Around strangers shaggy is shy for a few moments but once he warms up he’s said to be friendly. While playing with adults he is gentle. He lived with a small breed female dog for about 2 weeks and with her he was relaxed and playful and gentle at play as well. He also lived with 1 male and 1 female cat and with them he was also relaxed and playful. Behavior: Shaggy has never attempted to bite an animal while with his finder, but did bite a person on 8/9/17, the bite did draw blood. Shaggy is said to be friendly while held but has growled a few times when his finder attempted to pick him up. During baths he growls and bit once. He’s playful if he was bathing with the other dog in the home. He isn’t bothered if his coat is brushed. He was friendly if an unfamiliar person approached his home or previous owner. For a New Family to Know: Shaggy is described as friendly, affectionate, confident, and playful with a high activity level. The two things his finder liked most about him were; he’s spunky and caring. When his finder was home he would follow her around. He likes to play with balls and stuffed toys. He was kept indoors and at night he slept in a dog bed. He ate wet pedigree and dry Authority. He is not house trained and had accidents daily. He is well behaved when left alone indoors. He was walked 2 times daily, on leash he does not pull. Behavior during intake: Shaggy allowed me to pet him, pick him up and collar him. He had a relaxed body and wagging tail. He smelled my faced while relaxed on my lap.
