08/17/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Brought in as a stray, not much is known about Shades. But I’ll tell you what I do know. Shades was found in a Queens park. He has a large growth on the left side of his body and a smaller one on his front right paw that he will likely need follow up medical care for. He comes to us having already been neutered, he’s a healthy weight and his coat and teeth seem cared for. He always seems game for a walk, walks beautifully on the leash and seems housetrained. When we pass staff they always have a kind word for him, a friendly pat, and rave about how sweet he is. And it’s so true. He is one of the gentlest, most amicable, loving dogs I have met to date. As I was investigating his growth, he sweetly began kissing my hands and arms. He will nuzzle his head into my neck as we stop to cuddle and seems to literally smile when he looks up at me. It may sound trite but I truly get a fuzzy feeling in my stomach when I spend time with him. Shades is a very special boy, looking for a special someone to make him theirs. Ask to meet him today!
