I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 11/19/2016 from NY 11203, owner surrender reason stated was LLORDPRIVA.

11/19/16 18:53 BASIC INFO Sensi A1097391 is an approximately 5 year old APBT. Sensi was purchased from a breeder 5 years ago. The main reason for surrender is that the owner moved to a place where pets are not allowed. Sensi does not have any health concerns. SOCIALIZATION Sensi is friendly and outgoing with strangers. Sensi is relaxed, friendly and respectful around children. She plays gentle with adults and kids alike. Sensi lived with a small dog and she was relaxed and playful with the dog. She does not like cats. Sensi has never bitten or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Sensi does not have any behavior issues. During storms or loud noises, she is quiet and unbothered. Sensi allows you to take away her food bowl, water bowl, or toy away. She struggles when you try to bathe her. she is not bothered if awakened from her sleep. If an unfamiliar approaches the doorway, she barks. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Sensi is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. She has a very high activity level. When home, she follows you around. She enjoys playing with balls, squeaky and rope toys. She was fed Eukenuba. Sensi is very house trained. She usually goes potty on dirt. When left alone in the house, she is well behaved. She is crate trained up to 12 hours at a time. She listens to the command sit, stay and lay down. For exercise she is walked on the leash. She pulls hard. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Sensi allowed all handling, collaring and photos.

KNOWN HISTORY: Intact, Owner Surrender Previously lived with: Adults/small dog Behavior toward children: Sensi is relaxed, friendly and respectful around children; She plays gentle with adults and kids alike Behavior toward dogs: Relaxed/playful with resident dog Behavior toward cats: Sensi is reported to not like cats FG/RG: None reported Bite history: None reported Housetrained: Yes Energy level/descriptors: Sensi is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. She has a very high activity level Other notes: SAFER ASSESSMENT: 11/22/16 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, his tail is between his legs, body stiff, mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game. She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back paw. Toy: 1. No interest Summary: Sensi appeared anxious and distracted throughout the assessment, though does make attempts to interact and engage with the assessor displaying some social behavior. Upon engaging in play, Sensi made an attempt to mouth assessor’s arm (light), recovering easily with no escalation though this may have been due to her anxious behavior.
PLAYGROUP: According to Sensi’s previous owner, Sensi lived with a small dog and she was relaxed and playful with the dog. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Sensi greeted a novel male dog with a loose and wiggly body. Once in the pen, Sensi initially engaged in and solicited gentle play. Sensi’s arousal level increased as the play energy increased and she began low growling and displaying stiffer body language. She is easily interrupted by the handlers and the session is ended. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 11/20/16 During her initial medical examination, Sensi readily allowed all handling without issue. ENERGY LEVEL: RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience (Suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience) _X_No young children (under 5)(While human social, we did see the potential in Sensi to become uncomfortable and escalate upon engaging in play during her evaluation; though recovery was easily achieved with no escalation, the behavior department advises against a home with young children until she decompresses and is allowed time to acclimate to new home environment.) _X_No cats
