3/19:
S/O: Noted on AM rounds that patient was shaking head frequently. On closer inspection of ears, noted a significant amount of debris in the left ear – black/brown debris.
Cleaned AS with cleansing solution followed by otobiotic. AS with moderate inflammation in the canal, pinnae; mild sanguinous oozing, painful.
P:
1. Continue ear cleaning + otobiotic SID x 7 days.
2. Recheck at end of treatment.

SAFER: AVERAGE HOME
Duke walks calmly on the leash during his relief walk, and during the SAFER he was distracted and more interested in his surroundings. He was a bit tense during some of the handling, but allowed the assessor to conduct each item without issue. Duke was distracted during the tag interaction, and also distracted and uninterested in the food and toy items. He was easy to handle when chewing on the rawhides and when playing off leash with other dogs, Duke was very sociable towards females and will engage in soft play. He is tolerant of male dogs, but will mostly ignore them.
Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions.
Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, his tail is down, body a bit tense, mouth closed, lip long, ears back, lip licks.
Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft and a bit distracted.
Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are back.
Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are back.
Food: No interest
Toy 1: No interest.
Rawhide: 2. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is between you and the toy or rawhide, and he is loose and wiggly. No growling or stiffness.
Dog-dog: off leash with other dogs, Duke was very sociable towards females and will engage in soft play. He is tolerant of male dogs, but will mostly ignore them.

When off leash with other dogs, Scooby is soft and relaxed at the gate when greeting and has a wagging tail. He tends to ignore other males but is tolerant of them
2/18 Update:
Scooby interacts and will wag his tail with other males.
3/8 Update
When off leash with a more active female, he does not appear interested in play and is more reserved. When with a different female, he perks up wagging his tail higher but still does not engage in play. He is content to wander the pen with the calm, tolerant female and explore.
3/9 Update
With a similarly calm female, Scooby continues to be polite upon greeting but will ignore the other dog while in the yard.
