05/05/17 17:35 Sarafina is a Pit Bull who was found tied up outside and was brought into our care centers. The finders stated that she was very loveable and allowed all handling and is very playful. She allowed finders to transport her and place into carriers and cars without complaint. During her intake Sarafina jumped on counsleor and desk and was inquisitive of her surroundings. She maintained a loose body and wagging tail at spine level. She allowed all handling for collaring, scanning and photograph.
05/12/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Sarafina has the most endearing habit of covering herself up with her blanket in her cage. Sometimes I can see just her eyes peaking out, or hear her tail thumping, and every time she emerges it’s like unwrapping the best present ever…she is SO sweet!! She was a little unsure when she first arrived, but has really come out of her shell and is just FULL of love and tail wags. She walks nicely on leash, seems housebroken and has been able to socialize with calm dogs in our playgroups. She is super treat-motivated and knows “sit”, but tries to see if she can get one by standing up like a little prairie dog first. She likes to play fetch and will drop the ball at my feet if she doesn’t feel like trying to get me to play chase with her. She very frequently props her paws to solicit affection, is really easy to connect with (and eager to do so!), and gives kisses. Sarafina would love to burrow under the covers with you…please come see this special lady at Brooklyn ACC!
