A sparkling and beautiful gem with the kind of class money just can’t buy, Sapphire the dog lives up to his namesake and then some! He’s easy-going, super cuddly and such a smart boy, following commands like a pro and always looking up to see that his person is having a good time too. A calm walker and friendly greeter of other dogs, he very thoroughly snuffles his way through the park before showing off his sit and (lie) down and then we move on to the best part of a date with Sapphire–snuggle time! He’s got a whole repertoire of positions from side-of-the-leg lean to stand-up hug to over-the-lap full-body flop and nuzzles his face deep into my lap while giving me the most heartbreaking sad puppy eyes ever. Oh, you! I reward his love with some tasty treats and well-deserved belly rubs then we’re up and off again for more sniff sniff sniffing fun in the sun. But there’s much more to Sapphire than just sweet snuggles and Hound dog sleuthing skills and behind his serious expression lies a big ol’ clown who can’t wait to get his silly on. Simply add another dog to the mix and happy hi-jinks are guaranteed to follow as Sapphire bounds and bounces around with a wagging tail, playing chase and even going so far as to leapfrog right over his new friend’s back! Beautiful inside and out, he aced his behavior assessment with perfect scores across the board and would fit into any pack with ease. If there were a checklist for the perfect family dog I know he’d ace that too so really there’s only one question left to ask…when are you coming to take Sapphire home?
