A volunteer writes: Puppy alert! Samson is a handsome young pup. He is seen about town with a cool light brown coat with a snow-white vest and accents. Very elegant! He is only one year two months old. This guy could be just the new best friend you are looking for. Come meet him now.

Another volunteer writes: “Samson” suggests magnificence, leadership, a force to reckon with…and this young Adonis with his rippling golden muscles is all those things, a dog of unusual beauty and presence. But past that first impression, you see that he’s also a sensitive and curious boy, tilting his handsome head in puzzlement at the strange happenings at the shelter, the doings of so many dogs and people. It always makes me wish I spoke Dog so I could explain matters to him, but instead, every chance I get, I offer him the crunchy treats he loves, and he seems good with that trade-off. His mood becomes positively joyous and prancing at walk-time — a chance to cultivate that physique and smell the fresh air! As we left on our walk last night, my sweet boy was wearing his surgical collar, and got the heebie-jeebies when it kept scraping the ground, the sound making him cringe and crouch low. But with those big dark eyes, he looked to me for soft reassuring words and gentle petting, and regained his courage and masculine bearing in no time. The boulevard was his again!
