Medical Summary 4 yo FI S/O: QARH, friendly EENM: MM PINK AND MOIST, CRT 2 SEC G 2 ddz, AU thickened with dc. OU periocular hemorrage with erythematous cherry eye. CV: NO MURMURS OR ARRHYTHMIAS LUNGS: CLEAR ABD: SOFT AND NONTENDER MS/INTEG: AMB X 4, BCS 4/9 , brown staining of caudal tail base fur and MGs. Ventral cervical swelling NS: APPROPRIATE PLN: NSF GU: F Chain collar too tight to be removed. Had to be cut off with pliers. Suspect cruelty– strangulation A: – severe trauma with cervical swelling r/o possible brain damage – periocular hemorrhage (suspect due to cervical trauma) – OU cherry eye – otitis externa P: 1.7 cc SC carprofen, continue PO SID 1 week. Monitor in medical. TAB OU BID to keep cherry eye moist. Cool compress to eyes and neck if possible Recc surgical correction of cherry eye once inflammation decreases. flushed OU with saline, cleaned ears. Otibiotic AU BID x10D
