Do you love to play? I do! My name is Sage and I am 11 whole months old which is practically a grown-up dog. My human friends tell me I’m still just a puppy but I feel like a big boy and I already know a whole bunch of commands like sit, stay, down, give paw, and drop it. I even listen to them most of the time! I’m used to sleeping in my crate, known to be what they call ‘house trained’ and a pretty good walker too, though if we forget to bring a toy along I might just have to make the leash into one, because FUN. This is where the stop, drop and keep on rolling along technique comes in handy and isn’t it lucky that I know those commands for ‘down’ and ‘drop it’? My volunteer tells me I’m a really good boy whenever I listen well and do what she asks and my Mommy who brought me to this place says I’m affectionate, playful, and excitable with a high activity level. So okay, I guess I am still a bit of a puppy after all and maybe you couch potatoes (FYI, I do love couch snuggles!) should just sit this adoption out? I’m excited and playful with children, strangers and other dogs too. I’m always happy to share my food or my toys and if you like giving out snuggles as much as I like receiving them we’re going to get along just fine. So okay now, to sum up: I am a puppy. I am handsome (I think) and smart. I am good boy who loves to play and snuggle. I am Sage and this is my heart…I gives it to you now?
