I am a neutered male white and brown jack russ terr mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/31/2016 from NY 10029, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-052089.

Rusty walks calmly on leash. He was calm and relaxed during handling and easily engages in play, body is loose and wiggly, mouth open. Rusty took the toy away but had soft body language. Rusty did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that he can go to an Average home. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Toy 1: No interest. Playgroup Notes: Rusty seeks handler attention, then briefly engages in play once solicited.
04/05/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION

When off leash with other dogs, Rusty initially sniffs around the pen, keeping to himself. He becomes more interested in approaching the other dogs, then over time becomes increasingly pushy, eventually attemping to mount another male persistantly. 4/6 update: Rusty seeks handler attention, then briefly engages in play once solicited. 4/7 update: Rusty is anxious in the yard, jumping on handlers and seeking exit.
