BEHAVIOR:
Roxy was difficult to remove from her kennel snapping at the leash. Once she was removed from her kennel she walks with a low and fearful body language. Roxy became very uncomfortable when the handler tries to collar her snapped at the handler hand without breaking skin. The behavior team decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Roxy was not interested in toys.
Roxy was surrender to us. According to her previous owner Roxy is shy with new people at first. She becomes friendly when they feed her treats. Roxy lived with 2 children ages -14 and was relaxed, playful, and tolerant with them. She played exuberantly with people. She lived with 2 small male dogs and was relaxed, playful, tolerant, and played exuberantly with them. She doesn’t mind when someone takes her food, treat or toy. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
Toy 1: No interest.
Group:
8/11: When off leash with other dogs, Roxy is fearful in the yard and does not approach.
