DVM Intake Exam: Estimated age: 2-3yrs. Microchip noted on Intake? no. Microchip Number (If Applicable): History: Landlord came to the care center stating his former tenant, name was not disclosed, vacated the apartment and left Rosemary behind. He was feeding her for 3 days in hope that the tenant would come back for her. Subjective: Dog is BARH Observed Behavior – immediately social, wagging tail, attention seeking, allows all handling with minimal restraint, leans into pets and gives kisses. Objective: T = NA P = 120
R = wnl. BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted. Oral Exam: Healthy adult dentition; Grade 1/4 dental dz. PLN: No enlargements noted. H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic. ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated. U/G: large round dark pink mass protruding from vulva. MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of. parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities. Rectal: not performed Assessment: Vaginal Prolapse Prognosis:
Good Plan: Rinsed prolapsed tissue with sterile saline and lubricated with sterile lube – continue q8-12hrs or prn. Seek NH placement ASAP due to concern for vaginal tissue necrosis. Keep in medical to monitor urination. Place e-collar to prevent self trauma.
SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to vaginal prolapse, which can be fixed at time of OVH

Summary (1): Rosemary was brought in as a stray so her behavior around other dogs is unknown.
1/21: When off leash at the Care Center, Rosemary greets the novel male dog with a slightly nervous posture, softening up as they greet. She is tolerant of his pushy face to face sniffs.
