05/10/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Rocky was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. He was overexcited during handling, jumping up, mouthy (light)and was hard to position, but showed no aggression. Rocky was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He took the toy away but had soft body language. Rocky during the safer he was a very active and jumpy dog. He pulls hard on the leash he needs a significant amount of exercise, mental stimulation and training. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter. Look: 3. Dog jumps on the Assessor, consistently rubs his shoulder on the Assessor, and will not allow Assessor to conduct the assessment. Sensitivity: 2. Dog displays high energy and movement, but it is directed toward getting closer to the Assessor. His body is soft, likely panting, may jump up between attempts to lick Assessor. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Squeeze2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Playgroup Notes: When off leash with other dogs, Rocky boudns into the pen, leaping on and around the female greeter, licking her muzzle and bouncing around.
05/08/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Rocky has engaged in exuberant play with female dogs. However, due to limited history and interaction time in playgroup, the behavior department recommends a pre adoption interaction for Rocky before placement into a home with dogs. When off leash with other dogs, Rocky boudns into the pen, leaping on and around the female greeter, licking her muzzle and bouncing around. 5/10 update: Rocky engages in vocal play with the female helper dog, albeit a bit frantic and exuberant.
