A volunteer writes: I don’t want to say there’s “more of Rocky to love” because he’s something special and deserves more than such a trite expression! But he IS chubby. Like a jet puffed marshmallow man wearing a grey jacket as a cape because it didn’t fit… in the most adorable way possible! It’s really impossible not to fall for this guy! He is friendly and affectionate, but not at all overbearing — when I first met him he was borderline bashful! When I call him over he is wiggly with a low waggy tail and nuzzles his face into my lap. When I sit down on the bench, it takes him a little effort to hoist himself up to join me, but he starts at it right away. He loves to be petted and is very attentive to his person. He is very mild mannered, walks very nicely on leash, seems housebroken and already knows “sit” (usually the adorable side-sit variety) and “down.” Rocky previously lived with an older male dog, who he was said to play very gently with, and his former owner reports that he would bark and play bow at others he saw on walks. Every time I walk him he reveals a new charm or subtle sweetness — there is indeed more of Rocky to love. Please come meet him at Brooklyn ACC and see if he’s your match!
