No csvd; Observed Behavior – Timid, but allows all handling; Objective ; P = wnl; R = wnl; BCS 8/9; EENT: Eyes clear, moderate ceruminous discharge AU with mild purulent discharge AD, both external canals feel thickened on palpation; intermittent head shaking during exam; no nasal or ocular discharge noted; Oral Exam:mild dental tartar/periodontal disease; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: Neutered male, no discharge; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, ~ 3-4cm in diameter penduclated mass with stalk noted on ventral aspect of left carpus; ~8cm in diameter SQ mass noted on right side of thorax; healthy hair coat; CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Rectal: normal externally; Assessment; 1) Obese; 2) Otitis Externa; 3) Pedunculated Mass, LF- suspect benign, but cannot r/o malignancy; 4) SQ mass, right thorax- suspect lipoma, but cannot r/o malignancy; Prognosis: fair to good; Plan: Cleaned ears- Start ear cleaning SID x 7 days; Start Tresaderm AU BID x 7 days; Recommend weight loss plan, removal of LF mass with placement +/- removal of other mass if it gets bigger or effects mobility; SURGERY: Okay for surgery

Medical Notes: Owner noted a growth on his left paw and a mass on his right side
For a New Family to Know: Rocky favorite thing to do is play tug with his Toys. He is an indoor dog, but only goes potty outside on cement. Rocky is well behaved while home alone and his owner only fed him boiled chicken. He has never been in a yard alone, never crate trained, and never been a leash. The only commands Rocky knows is “sit and “come”. For exercise he goes on slow walks and pulls lightly on leash. Previous owner doesn’t know how Rocky reacts to being disturbs while sleeping, taking a bath, brushing coat, trimming nails, unfamiliar approaching yard, you, family member.
Behavior Notes:During intake Rocky had a loose and wiggly body while taking pictures and collaring. He did pancake while trying to put him in a kennel, But allowed counselor to pick him up and place in a kennel.

Summary (1): Rocky’s previous guardian reported that he does not pay any attention to dogs when he is on a walk.
7/1: When off leash at the Care Center, Rocky mostly avoids interacting with the male and female small dogs in the yard. He tolerates some of their solicitations but corrected a pushy puppy when he was in his face.
