Vet Notes: 12:36 PM: Neutered yesterday, presented with mild LH lameness, radiographs showed bilateral abnormalities of tibial tuberosity, suspect HOD S/O: -BAR, behavior is significantly improved today! appears friendly and is wagging tail at front of kennel -no nasal discharge or sneezing -OU: open and clear -eupnic -scrotal neuter site healing well with minimal swelling and no discharge. -good weight bearing on hind limbs, abnormal gait with overflexion at hips, stifles and external rotation at hip A: 1. LH lameness, suspect mild cruciate injury, improving 2. Abnormal tibial tuberosities on xrays, r/o HOD vs other. P: -continue rimadyl -recommend limited walks for the next 3-4 weeks then gradual return to full activity. -consider pursuing radiographs of all limbs to confirm or rule out HOD (hypertrophic osteodystrophy), this can have a good long term prognosis but may require. extended pain/anti-inflammatory medications
