10/01/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: We are really hoping patience gets a reward in the form of a loving home, because this darling girl is so extraordinarily patient. In the shelter, she waits so sweetly for her walk. In the park, she waits so sweetly while other dogs are cooed over. She even walks patiently, never pulling on the leash and either wagging her tail at or ignoring any dogs who are strolling nearby. With her pouty little underbite and adorable petite size, River makes is very difficult to resist her. We hope that you will not try, and that River won’t have to wait one more moment for a family to call her own! Another volunteer writes: So petite, so quiet, so calm, so gently affectionate……yes, she has my heart. Shy at first, she warms up with some easy ‘girl talk’ as I compliment her beautiful coat, gorgeous figure, and easy going manners. Kisses, hugs, butt scratches (stretching out her back legs for complete access) and I’m completely captivated. As she watches me take photos of another dog, she’s quiet, attentive and patient. River hops back in her kennel at the end of our time together, gets on her bed to lie down head on paws. Until the next time I tell her, but I’m hoping there won’t be a ‘next time’ for me. I hope her ‘next time’ is with her new family at the beginning of her happily ever after. She deserves it, and you deserve her.
