10/26/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/26/16 12:03 Upon intake Rich was extremely hyper. He was jumping up and down and running around in circles. He would not allow counselor to collar him. When counselor tried he began to run in circles and roll on the floor. He did allow pictures and scanning. When the owner left he began to cry. As per the client Rich was in the home with 3 children ages 3, 5 and 9. He was very playful with the children. He could seem to be somewhat rough but only because he is so hyper. He never snapped at them and always allowed them to pet and rub him. He jumps a lot but seems to calm down when the smaller children are around. He is not bothered when stranger approaches. Rich eats dry and wet food mixed. He is almost house trained but does have accidents in the house a few times a week. He is left in the crate in the day time but cries when he is left in. He does not destroy any furniture but she will chew your shoes if they are left around. He pulls very hard on the leash and can’t be walked without one otherwise he will run away. No baths or nail trimming have been done so the behaviors for this are unknown
11/12/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: When Rich’s owner left he began to cry. He is just a baby after all. At first he was excited to find himself in a new place, new smells, and he was hyper-jumping up and down and running in circles. How fun! But I can imagine that when the only family he has known left him, it was quite scary. He lived with children ages 3-9 and was gentle around the little ones. He was in the process of being housetrained and showed me that he knows how to do his business outside. He is friendly and sweet, and though he was interested in me loving up on him, he was far more excited to play than snuggle! He loves toys. You could tell that he didn’t know which one to play with first, so he sort of piled all the toys into one spot and played with them each for a few minutes, moving on to the next one and the next. At only about 7 months old, Rich will need pet parents to provide him the love, training and guidance that any young dog would need-and in return he will give you all the love you’d be willing to receive! Ask to meet him today.
