A volunteer writes:

Eleven year old Rex and seven year old Cookie, his girlfriend, came to us as their owner became to ill to care for her pets. They are both lovely chaps, sociable and friendly family dogs who need to belong again and call a new home their own.  Rex tap dances right behind his door. Let me out, let me out…He is quite eloquent and without even barking…Rex walks very nicely on the leash and does mark his territory as he is  an un neutered male.  He nears properly other dogs. He does not mind being outfitted with a bow or me attempting brushing his hair of his eyes… Rex is a good looking little guy, well groomed  and well fed. His teeth are in need of care but treats and roasbeef are chomped and gulped down without any difficulty. Rex sits  for food and hops on the bench for cuddling time. He is quite a lively guy with still lots of  energy, brain and spunk. An elderly who seems to have quite a bit of time in front of him to make a new owner happy with his presence. Rex is hoping to meet you soon at the Manhattan Care Center and  leave as your new best friend…
