03/03/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Remy reminds me of a timid little squirrel wondering where is her tree and all the nuts she stored in there. She is quiet in her kennel, accepts the leash easily and walks very nicely around the block, not forgetting to do her business on the way. She comes when called, poses for pictures, takes some treats politely and accepts caresses while being a little bit hand shy. She is slightly in alert when other pooches surround our pen, and was a little uncomfortable with her peers in the one playgroup she attended. Everything is unfamiliar to Remy, and she might just need a little bit more time to adjust to all the changes in her life. She already felt better at our second encounter, and I am hoping that many walks and encounters with staff and volunteers will get her out of her shell. Come and meet Remy at the Manhattan Care center. I am sure she would love to make her ” nest ” with you….and be your new forever best friend.
