11/17/16 17:17 Rambow is a mix miniature Pinscher that is 1 years old. Rambow was a gift to the family by a friend. The owner is surrendering Rambow due to personal problem. Rambow came in with a rash around his abdomen. Rambow has lived with 3 adults; he is affectionate and always sees attention. Rambow has been introduced to children ages 9 and up. He is playful and sometimes rough play with the child in the house. Rambow barks and growls at strangers. He takes a few days to warm up to new people. He growls and barks at large or small dogs. But he has never interact or engaged with other dogs. He has never been around cats. Rambow allows the family to bath him, but struggles getting his nails trimmed. He allows for his food bowl to be touched while eating, removing toys from his mouth. But she growls when removing bones. He growls and tense up. But he has never had a bite history. He is wee pad trained and rarely has accidence. The wee pad was located in the bathroom. Rambow is described as playful, independent and pushy. He barks at dog and strangers. He prefer being around familiar people and becomes very affectionate. He knows the command sit. When you throw the ball he fetches it and brings it back. He loves to run around the house and play chase. But does not like to go outside and struggles when leashed. Rambow during intake barked and body was tense. He sniffed counselor but did not allow be petted. He was anxious and fearful. But he slowly allowed being collard, scanned and photographed.

No interest. Summary: Rambow growls, bares teeth and lunges at the assessor when attempting to approach. Rambow is not an appropriate candidate for a SAFER assessment at this time and may benefit from placement with a New Hope Rescue partner. PLAYGROUP: According to Rambow’s previous owner, Rambow growls and barks at large or small dogs, but he has never interact or engaged with other dogs. When off leash with small dogs at the Care Center, Rambow keeps to himself, tolerating the other dogs’ face to face greetings, as he explores the pen. According to Rambow’s previous owner, Rambow growls and barks at large or small dogs, but he has never interact or engaged with other dogs. 11/18: When off leash with small dogs at the Care Center, Rambow keeps to himself, tolerating the other dogs’ face to face greetings, as he explores the pen. 11/19 – 11/20: When an attempt to place a collar and a leash on Rambow, Rambow becomes uncomfortable. He low growls, lip curls, head whips, and snaps at the handlers. Due to this behavior, Rambow was not off leash with other dogs today.
