11/11/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Pumpkin looks like a big puppy, deeply asleep in his kennel. I scratch him behind the ears and he wakes up, all surprised. Let’s go, little boy, for a walk around the block. Pumpkin likes a gentle approach. He seems to be a bit shy when someone comes abruptly to him. He walks very nicely on the leash, wiggling cutely his tush, wagging his little stub of a tail and not forgetting to do his business without marking. He meets other dogs, big and small without any problem, sits on command and poses nicely for the pictures. Back at the care center and free in a pen, Pumpkin elects a spot on the bench and scans the area, paying attention to whatever moves around us. I sit next to him and he leans his thin body against mine. He likes caresses and gives back, licking profusely my face. He takes treats gently from my hand. Pumpkin is such a gorgeous youngster with a mushy face and a beautifully groomed coat. He is said to be one year old but really looks and acts like a puppy. He is adorable, endearing and will make an admirer of the breed proud and happy to have him as a forever best friend. Come and meet Pumpkin at the Manhattan Care Center and make him yours.
