08/18/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/18/16 12:44 The last time Pudgy has visited the doctor was about a month ago and he had a clean bill of health. Around strangers he is shy but he only takes a couple of minutes to acclimate to someone new and novel environments. He loves when people rub his head and under his chin, this will probably make him comfortable around you faster. He is relaxed and friendly around kids and has lived with an 11 year old in his home that was his owner. He is friendly around other dogs but will get scared if they bark at him and he will run. His behavior around most cats is unknown but he has been around a family cat and he tries to play with it even tho the cat does not like him, he is not aggressive towards it. Pudgy is absolutely house trained and never destroys anything in the house whether alone or not. he is very scared of loud noises and anything with a siren or loud motor. If someone touches his food bowl or takes it he will growl unless it is his owner in which case he is fine. He is not bothered by his treats or toys being touched or taken by anyone. Pudgy is not bothered by any type of grooming and allows all handling. He is not a big barker but might bark if someone approaches the home but not at all times. Pudgy has a low to medium activity level in the home. He has a dog bed at home between the rooms of his owner that he sleeps in. he knows not to enter the living room unless given permission. He likes to follow his owner around the house. He likes any kind of toy. He is not destructive to the yard. He can be walked on or off leash. If he is walked off leash he will stay close and he can also walk himself, owner can let him out and he will come back after he relieves himself. He knows Sit, come, down and his name has a way to get his attention and to come over. He is food wet food twice a week and dry food every day, he absolutely does not eat human food accept for an occasional plain chicken cutlet or some plain rice, nothing else and nothing with gravy. Pudgy walked into the shelter with a calm body and was calmly laying on the floor. next to his owner. When handling he allowed scaning, photographing, collaring and medical handling.
