06/04/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Princess has made a big turn around. Although I am still to see a smile on her face (she is very austere looking), she has loosened up a lot and really enjoys the company of her caretakers. She is quite obedient, sits at once on command, hops on the bench upon request and even gives paw without being pushed….She now takes our treats and begs for attention when we are…not paying attention….While she kept her distance 2 days ago, she is now rather an outgoing pooch who runs after a ball (no retrieving yet) and joins us on the bench for some bonding. She gives standing hugs and welcomes warmly anybody who enters our pen with a happy waggy tail. Long legged Princess seems to have been well cared for. She looks healthy, has a great weight and wears a perfect and shiny oreo coat. She is a good walker, does her business on the way and meets politely other dogs. In playgroups with her peers, she is a bit shy and might need a little bit more time to engage fully and have fun. Spending time with princess is quite pleasant and relaxing. She is well mannered, not hyper, sociable and very friendly. She will make a good forever best friend and I bet, in a home and with the love of a master, her face will light up with a giant smile. Princess is still the serious looking gal I met few days ago..She is such a nice dog, though..and so gorgeous. A sleek body on super long legs and wrapped in a girl’s shiny tuxedo. She has kept her cool and great manners through her stay with us and she has not lost her warm feelings for us , humans. Princess has a little cold but she has kept a great appetite and level of energy. I remember the times she was so scared and yesterday, she posed as a “Barbie Doll”…She was really cool about it although puzzled… Princess will need you very soon. She is “loving and loyal companion material”. Do not miss your chance to discover a jewel…Come and meet Princess at the Manhattan Care Center.
