Medical Summary Microchip: negative Sex: spayed female Age: reported 1y Mentation: QARH Eyes: clear Ears: clean Nose: no d/c Teeth: no staining If abnormal BCS: slight but WNL Skin: WNL Hair Coat: WNL Declawed: N/A Any injuries: reported vomiting and inappetance in the home, owner stated she “might ahve a string” in the rectum, pt vomited a large amount of bile and sewing thread, thread was still attached to the oral cavity, could not see a point of attachment (possibly further in GI vs just in mouth), some string also protruding from rectum, abdomen is tense and pt has “saw horse” stance, would need endoscopy vs ultrasound to find source of “tie”–minimal handling due to pain, patient would not allow laryngoscope placement (biting at blade and then gagging on string) Behavior: tense and painful, will bite when face is approached Medication: N/A, no vx, on call DVM recc sending patient out for private care
