04/06/16 A staff member writes: Princess is a love bug to the fullest. She becomes excited when she sees you and wants nothing more than rubs and kisses. She wants to move into her new castle with her family and bring her bouncy personality to their life. Her eyes show nothing but love and compassion, while her wiggly body expresses excitement. Come into Brooklyn Animal Care Center and adopt this beauty.
04/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Princess came to us by way of NYPD after biting a child. We have minimal information on the bite incident. Princess was very interested in interacting with the assessor when entering the behavior room. She allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items while maintaining soft body language. She was very easy to handle and had soft body language when joining the assessor in play on the tag interaction. Princess only displayed minimal interest in the toy on this portion of the assessment. Due to Princess’s bite history we believe that she would do best in a home with an experienced owner and no children. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. She indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Toy: 1. Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then walks away.
