MC placed by LVT on intake. History / Subjective – owner surrender   Observed Behavior — allows all handling. Objective:  BCS 7/9  EENT: Eyes have mucoid discharge, OU. Bluish cornea OD. ears clean, mild serous nasal discharge. Coughing.  Oral Exam: dc 3/5; pd 3/5  PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic, panting. moderate amount of referred upper airway sounds  ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: intact female.  MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites; healthy hair coat; 3mm pink dermal mass along the left dorsal lumb region  CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities  Rectal: grossly normal.  Assessment:
geriatric, suspect KCS , cough r/o CIRDC, collapsing trachea, overweight , dental disease
skin mass  Prognosis: fair  Plan: schirmer tear test — P would not cooperate
optimmune q12h indefinitely, doxycycline 100mg tablet — give 0.5 tablet PO q24h x 14 days , cerenia 16mg tablet — give 0.5 tablet PO q24h x 4 days  Canine Resp PCR panel SURGERY:   Permanent waiver due to age
