Princess is friendly, when someone pushes/pulls her off of the furniture, holds/restrains her,disturbs her while she is resting/sleeping, gives her a bath, brushes her coat, and gives her a bath. Princess is fearful when someone trims her nails. If an unfamiliar person approaches her family/home Princess will be friendly towards them.
For a New Family to Know
Princess is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, and excitable. When at home Princess will follow around her owners, play with all toys and was kept indoors only. Princess was fed both wet and dry food. Princess rarely has and accidents and will go to the bathroom on the grass or a wee wee pad. Princess is well behaved when left home alone and has never been crate trained. Princess knows the command sit and stay. Princess likes brisk walks and pulls lightly on a leash.
Behavior Notes:
Princess was nervous during intake and tended to avoid staff. Princess allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with the assistance of her previous owners.
According to Princess previous owner, Princes time with small dogs and is relaxed and playful around them.
11/28: When off leash at the Care Center, Princess mostly keeps to herself in a group of small male and female dogs. She offers appropriate corrections when a sexually motivated male persistently follows her.
BEHAVIOR:

Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted, body posture is stiff and fearful, tail is low and not moving. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands.
Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, eyes are averted, and tail is in neutral position with a relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item.
Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog might jump on Assessor once play begins.
