A volunteer writes:
Prince is quick to come to his door when he sees a potential caretaker. He is leashed in no time, ready to fly out of his kennel and be in company.  Prince is a cute little guy, an elderly at 15, a bit thin but dressed  nicely in a silver  and red coat. His eyes are still sparkling and “working” so is his nose sniffing away the premises.Prince is a good walker. He does his business without marking. No other dog is met to assess his affinity for his peers.  He is a great lap dog and enjoys being caressed, talked to and fed little pieces of rotisserie chicken. He is a good eater despite his aging teeth. Prince is with us  as his owner moved to a place not allowing dogs. He comes with good recommendations and seems to have been a very sweet little companion. Prince  will need you very soon. A cushy bed, soft food, proper veterinary care and mostly the love of a master will insure this lovely elderly the golden  years he so deserves while still offering a giving heart to his new owner. Prince is at the Manhattan Care Center.

For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
