Primrose A1069995 is a young female tan brindle & white Bull Terrier perhaps APBT mix who was found tied up in front of the finder’s building a little while ago in the Bronx. The finder isn’t able/willing to keep her. The finder stated she was friendly and allowed them to untie her and walked her to our BXAC.
During intake Primrose had a loose wiggly body and loved giving/receiving hugs & kisses. She sat nicely when asked and made the cutest puppy head tilts when she heard the squeaky toy during her photo session. Primrose allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of. She then walked (she walks right alongside you on her leash) into the kennel on her own after her food.
Behavior:
Primrose walks calmly on leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling and easily engages in play, body is loose and wiggly, mouth open. Primrose was easy to handle when chewing on toys
Primrose did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home.
Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds.
Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture.
Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game.
Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw.
Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw.
Toy 1. Dog settles down close to chew, will relinquish toy to you.
Playgroup Notes:
When off leash with other dogs, Primrose is initially uncomfortable with interaction but begins to open up and engage in play when solicited.
